It’s not easy to meet stringent nutrition standards while still satisfying a child’s appetite – and juggling all the other complex requirements of K-12 school nutrition. In fact, it’s downright heroic! While cafeteria crusaders deserve to be celebrated every day, we are making special efforts to recognize the hard work of our Child Nutrition Staff on May 3rd.

Announcements ANNOUNCEMENTS Important Changes to MyNutriKids
The Aledo ISD’s Child Nutrition Department is excited to announce some enhancements to our online school meal payment service. We have transitioned your existing MyNutrikids.com account to a new service called mySchoolBucks.
This website provides a number of key features that you will find beneficial including:
If you already have a MyNutrikids.com account, you will NOT need to create a new account with mySchoolBucks. Your existing login username and password will remain the same. Children that are associated with your account will also carry over to the new service.
Now that the transition is complete you will be automatically redirected to mySchoolBucks where you can begin using the new service. Parents with an existing MyNutrikids.com account will receive an introductory email from mySchoolBucks, which will provide instructions on how to use this new service.

NEW THIS YEAR Elementary or Intermediate students whose cafeteria account reaches the charge limit of -$25.00 will be provided with a Snack Meal. Students with a negative cafeteria balance will not be allowed to purchase snacks or extras until their balance is brought current. Negative balances will be communicated to parents via our School Messenger Call System.
Starting in School Year 2012-13, school lunches will meet additional USDA standards requiring age appropriate calorie and portion limits, larger and more varied servings of veggies and fruits and more whole grains.
